Special Events

Trinity Presbyterian Church offers several special events throughout the year.

In May 2008, Trinity celebrated a particularly important special event, its 50th Anniversary.  The church was organized on Pentecost 1958 and officially began on May 25, 1958.  A special celebration was held on Trinity Sunday May 18, 2008, beginning with our Sunday service at 10 AM.  A dinner was held at the Columbia Country Club at 5 PM that evening.  The celebration  was highlighted with a special anniversary mission goal - raising money for PET (Personal Energy Transportation).

Each year in February, the church highlights a particular mission activity and holds a Mission Supper at which soup is served.

Annually, in August or September, the church hosts an Ice Cream Social for members, potential members and friends to kick off the school year.  Members make homemade ice cream and other desserts to share.

After church on the National Football League’s Super Sunday, the pastor, Rev. Rim Massey and his wife, Judi host a Super Bowl Lunch as a fellowship activity. This year, church members participated again in the Central Missouri Food Bank's "Souper Bowl Sunday Food Drive." Trinity members and friends donated 120 lb.of food to the Food Bank.

February 14th iwas our pastor, Rev. Raymond I. Massey II's 25thanniversary at Trinity. Celebration started with our Sunday service at 10:45 p.m., followed by a dinner at 5 p.m.at the new Fellowship Hall of First Presbyterian Church, Columbia.
