Tenebrae Service with Holy Communion

"Jesus, Light of the World"

 

7:00 pm

Tenebrae (from the Latin word for darkness) is a time of quiet reflection.  Light came into the world in the person of Jesus Christ, only to be scorned, rejected, scourged and crucified.  And so, this service is marked by the use of many candles which will be gradually extinguished as the story of Jesus’ coming and his cross is retold.
